Black Creek Podcasts is one person.
Charlie Creek. A British podcaster since 2001, Voice Artist, Writer, Sound Designer, Editor and Producer.
What are your aims?
The aim of Black Creek Podcasts is to create original content that pushes both the creator and the boundaries of what can be created.
Black Creek podcasts values human made immersive storytelling and high production values.
What are the current projects?
Currently in production are:
New Dawn a hybrid table top role play and audio drama fusion using the Delta Green table top role playing system to drive the story.
Paranormal Nation a fully scripted and sound designed audio drama series based around four YouTube Paranormal Investigators.
It started with an idea.
The idea took on a form…
…and grew.
That fledgling form could have ended like so many others right there, but it didn’t.
A simple request to post on a Discord Server asking for anyone interested in being part of that newly evolving form provided the life spark that allowed it to shape and to continue growing.
Ten months and uncounted production hours later and that spark grew into a community of over thirty people lending their support to create New Dawn.
New Dawn is a full cast Audio Drama driven and created through role play using the Delta Green tabletop role playing game.
With a main cast of two, guest appearances, and a voice call of thirty seven (and counting) folks from around the ttrpg & VA community, New Dawn is something new.
Set in the current day, New Dawn follows the investigations and lives of FBI Special Agents Armitage and Goodnall as they delve ever deeper and deeper into the world that we do not see and that governments don’t want you to know about.
With a lifelong love of audio drama and a deep interest in narratively driven horror tabletop role playing games – New Dawn was conceived and is written, Game Mastered, scripted, edited and produced by Charlie Creek.
Originally trained as a musician, photographer, graphic designer and fine artist Charlie Creek worked in local, then regional and eventually for many years in National and International publishing.
During this time and with a love of the audio medium Charlie became one of the very first podcasters in the UK. The journey started in 2001 with Charlie applying his love of the audio medium and learning the craft of creating and producing audio which resulted in his writing and producing several shows.
“One of the joys of the audio medium is shaping the world that the listener hears and drawing them into that ‘suggested’ world that then takes on a form of its own in their mind”.
New Dawn draws the listener into a world of subterfuge and the unknown through a blend of actual play and audio drama cinematic scenes.
New Dawn is created with thanks to all those lending their voices and enthusiasm.
The latest project Paranormal Nation is currently being recorded for release late 2026.
