Who ARE WE?
Black Creek Podcasts was originally conceived for one project - New Dawn, and is one person - Charlie Creek
With a lifelong love of audio drama and a deep interest in narratively driven horror tabletop role playing games – New Dawn was conceived and is written, Game Mastered, scripted, edited and produced by Charlie Creek.
Charlie is a 22-year veteran of first local, then regional, and ultimately national and international newspaper and magazine publishing. Starting as a Graphic Designer and ultimately running art studios and magazine production. Since then and with changes in Media, Charlie moved into the field of conservation and the great outdoors.
One thing that has always been a constant companion is his love for audio starting at the age of 13 on hearing the BBC Dramatization of The Lord of the Rings. This love for audio developed into to becoming one of the UK’s first podcasters in 2001 and writing and producing several shows ranging from music to history.
Charlie originally trained as a classical musician but decided on a career in design turning down music school and becoming a Graphic Designer which became his work for many years. With the creation of Black Creek Podcasts and delving back into the world of audio creation Charlie has invested countless hundreds if not thousands of hours on honing his skills in audio creation from music to sound design.
Black Creek Podcasts was founded by Charlie Creek and was initially formed for the creation of one audio drama / actual play fusion and something of an experiment – New Dawn. A story created as a collaborative experience during role play based around the Delta Green ttrpg with scenarios devised by Charlie. Since that conception Black Creek Podcasts has grown into the current production of a full audio drama series and a series of audio drama shorts along with music available on Soundcloud. Currently any spare time is spent on Script Writing, Editing, Audio Editing and Production. Charlie also is a Sound Designer, Musician and Voice Actor. Telling stories and creating cinematic soundscapes is an all-encompassing passion.
Current projects include the writing and production of a full Audio Drama series, a series of Audio Drama shorts and creating music and sound beds for free use in non-commercial podcasts.

The latest project Paranormal Nation is currently being recorded for release late 2026.
Charlie when not at the day job, eating, or sleeping, can most often be found jotting down ideas and searching for that elsuive sound for current and future projects.
