Meet the cast
Skip Morton
Skip is a 15 year Commercial Radio Veteran having worked in the Roanoke and New River Valley VA Markets. Skip has been playing RPG's since 1978 and lists Delta Green and Call of C'thulhu as his favorites but is always seeking to learn different systems. He is a cast member of The Old Ways Podcast and has frequent appearances on Symphony Entertainment streams. Skip's favorite phrase is " Smile, you never know who's day you might brighten" and he feels that gaming podcasts brings a lot of joy and different game exposure to those who can't game locally or are not familiar with all the gaming goodness out there.
Skip started his work career in commercial radio at a little AM station running Sunday morning religious programming and had about 30 minutes of music he could play. During the other time while trying to keep from falling asleep, Skip worked on gaming campaigns.
Starting gaming in 1978 with the old blue box D and D set, Skip has been an avid gamer. It was his time at Radford University where he got exposed to all the other games at the time. Getting into a long term Star Trek (Fasa system) campaigns, Champions, Shadowrun, and was in college when World of Darkness began. Carrying a full load of classes, five nights of gaming and dating his first wife, life was full of challenges.
Skip was also introduced to Call of Cthulhu at Radford University. This was the first time he had played anything horror and just fell in love with it and was playing with one of the contract writers at the time J.Todd Kingrea. It was like an addictive drug, as Skip dove into more horror because of time spent with that campaign.
Playing off and on after college was mostly D and D as the area he was in lead to that type of games and those groups were not into horror rpgs. Connecting back with friends from college has lead to coming on board with Symphony and as a permanent cast member with The Old Ways and now the voice of SAiC Garth Black here on New Dawn.
Skip is looking forward to bringing mire of Garth to life as his background and what he has done and has to do is interesting and most likely terrible and tragic. " The Kingpin" has alot to say but in few words.
Skip voices Special Agent in Charge Garth Black along with providing announcent voiceovers in New Dawn.
